Heart is speaking to yours but often you are so busy with your own
agendas that I can’t get through. Stay focused on Me and I will
Accomplish all. Give time but take time for yourself without feeling
Guilty as you often do. Don’t you know I love you?

Joy And Sorrow
Just as one season moves into another, so are there like seasons in our life cycles. There are times of joy and beauty and times of sorrow and suffering. They sometimes go hand-in-hand. They are companions on our journey.
We need to befriend them, not control them. When we hold on to either or both, we stop growth. We stop God’s work in us.
Spring, summer, fall, winter–each has its beauty and difficulties; each has its dyings and risings. We need to let God be God. We need to depend on God’s strength in each phase of the journey. “Fear not. I am always with you.”

Wave hitting against the shore and sea wall
What music to the ear.
It flows gently, then picks up speed,
flowing, flopping, slapping,as it comes to water’s edge.
Sunlight twinkles, sparkles and bubbles in water and melodious Aves
As they sing their melody to all who will listen.
Its unique melody brings joy, peace and a dancing heart
To the relaxed bystander who sits quietly, listening.
Its Creator is praised and glorified
As the water symphony goes on and on

Crying Out
I search and search and do not find.
I ask and ask and light doesn’t come.
I beg and beg to no avail.
I cry and cry deep within, and brokenness prevails.
I listen with delight and soon forget.
The cycle repeats itself and my love speaks again to my heart.
He gives me hope and unconditional love.
“Stay close to Me and then see the marvels I have in store for you.”
“Don’t lose heart. I am with you and true to My Word. Keep looking forward and I will lead.”
Who My God Is
My confidence gets stronger each and every time He speaks.
When I waiver and fall, He’s there to call me back.
My love is my “Hound of Heaven” and healer of a heart broken and scared.
He’s my assurance in times of unrest and need.
He’s my source and reason in life and in giving life.
He’s my nudge and All in All.
He’s silent presence as well as active presence at other times.
He’s “I AM Who sent you,” to be all that I can be.
My Love is Spirit alive and risen in my heart, despite continuing struggle outwardly.

My Morning Offering
A cloudy, dreary morning outside but a heart alight, in awe and wonder of Your goodness and presence to me, O Lord. My own inner cloudiness is being drawn up into Your Heart, aglow with the fire of Love. You have opened the wells of mercy and forgiveness to me just like You poured down rain from the clouds above only moments ago. My day began with great arthritic pain in my back. I could hardly roll out of bed. But You were there the moment I woke beckoning me to offer it to You and trust that You will strengthen me for the day.
You energized me as I began moving around and doing all I needed to do to get started on my day. There was an inner joy, wonder and expectation for what you, my Lord, had in store for me today. You have surprised me beyond my furthest dreams so far. I stand in humble thanksgiving for your marvelous deeds, freely given with no strings attached.Your encircling presence has grasped me. Flooding tears have begun a healing process in me and I know You are far from being finished with me. Once more I surrender myself to You. Do with me what You want for today. Your love and goodness will uphold me. This I know with a certainty that comes from You. Take over my day on this Holy Thursday. Teach me as only You can do.

Climbing The Tree
I climb the tree to see Jesus, and find Him gazing straight through me, penetrating my life clear through. He speaks to my heart as no one has before; speaks to me in my sadness, distractions, worries and concerns. He eases my pain, my doubts and gives me a sense of direction; where now my anxious heart becomes a hopeful heart, a ready-heart, ready to give, to give what God is giving me to give, a heart more deeply in love with my Divine Shepherd.

It is hard to imagine what excitement there must have been for Mary and Joseph before Jesus was born. To realize they were the ones chosen to bear and care for the tremendous GIFT of God coming to earth–the Prince of Peace, God With Us.
“God With Us”, help us to prepare our hearts to receive YOU in a much deeper way, this Christmas. As YOU gift our hearts, may we in turn, gift others. Colored Glasses
Dear God, we often find ourselves looking at life through colored glasses. This blocks clear vision and gives a false outlook on all circumstances around us. We ask why and no answer comes. In these times, may we humble ourselves and come to You in prayer and reflection. Help us, through prayer, to discard the colored glasses to see more clearly the lead You are placing before us. Give us insight to see and feel Your helping hand and trust Your care and strength for us, no matter what may be happening in and around us. It is so easy sometimes to grab for the colored glasses and not take the effort to look beyond and call on our loving God to enter into the struggle and confusion with us and together work things through. We need not be in control, having God at our side, nothing is impossible.

Prayer: A Reflection
Prayer is like the “birth of love” in our hearts. When we seek communication with the Lord on a regular basis, then little miracles of love seem to burst forth everywhere. Perhaps they happened before, but we were unaware of them. A rainbow colors the sky, and we are suddenly reminded of a Father-God and His care. We rejoice at beauty, and we rejoice in creation. We rejoice in the mystery of ourselves, in fact, that we are capable of experiencing this beauty. As we bring our lives before the Lord in fidelity of His trust and His care for us, there seems to be a fresshness of life everywhere because when one begins to touch the “Heart of God” in prayer each day, then one begins to touch the “Heart of Life”.

Seems to have frozen my prayer and work ability.
I don’t stop praying, but only in word,
Repeating over and over the same prayers.
My feelings seem numb, constantly asking Your help.
Will You come back and let me experience Your presence more.
Please let me experience a lifting of my spirit, once again.

O My Beloved
O Dear God, I find myself wondering, what is happening?
My life keeps me in the shadows of Your love.
It seems I am unable lately to relate deeply to You.
My sorrows and grief keep me in semi-darkness.
My ability to sit still for longer periods of time,
Frustrate and debilitate my concentration and feeling.
My set-back in health, in the midst of it all,
Seems to have frozen my prayer and work ability.

Spouse of God
I am YOUR Beloved.
YOU called me to be thus,
Unworthy though I be.
What do YOU see in me,
That I don’t see in myself?
All I ask is to grow more deeply in love with YOU.
My Divine Spouse, may I never, never fall out of love
With YOU, who has been my constant Lover,
My life and my all.
Where would I be without YOU?
YOU have led me, drawn me throughout life
To places I would never have dreamed possible,
To be more then I could have imagined.
I have been graced to serve YOUR children, adults, sick/dying,
As a spiritual guide, leader in parish and health care.
With a humble, grateful heart, I come before YOU
Asking that YOUR leadership and love will keep me going,
In all the good times and rough ones.
Thanks for the past and what the future holds.
Just, I ask YOU, keep me close and always faithful to YOU, my Spouse.
Trust As You Cry Out
“Ask and you shall receive.”
Receive as God lovingly gives.
Gives, however, He feels you need.
Take Courage, He Is very near.
Will you accept suffering for awhile?
I hear your cries.
Persevere, My Love will carry you.
I’ll come, and lift your “drooping spirit”.
You know, I never let you down.
Will you keep trusting Me to assist you.
I have given you some of the help you need.
Next you will find peace of spirit and thanksgiving.
Be aware of My goodness to you, and above all My love.
United With Christ Crucified
O Christ Crucified, how can I unite more with Thee?
I desire to be healed from what binds me so I can experience greater closeness come Easter Day. You know me through and through as Ps. 139 states. I don’t want to hold on to what keeps me from a close relationship with You. Weakness, frustration, pain, suffering, grief has taken hold of me once again. I love You so much yet I get trapped over and over. Please let me feel and experience Your Healing Presence as I strive to be aware of Your deep sufferings. Once again, I unite my whole being with You, my Beloved. Help me break down my barriers and free my longing spirit and that of others who are struggling to stay ever close to You. Christ Crucified, thank You ahead of time. Amen.
Rejoice in the Lord
How can one best “Rejoice in the Lord”?
By always being honest and truthful,
Not fearing what the circumstances will be.
By experiencing the Love of God touching you,
And not being afraid to share the Good News.
By being a spokesman for our gratuitous God.
By using the gift of sight to make aware God’s goodness,
To others and to your family and friends along the way.
“Rejoice in the Lord! Again, I say Rejoice!”
Be thankful for the many, many gifts—some great and some small.
He desires with all His Heart to share gifted life to us.
Even when we are not as aware as we could be,
He continues to bless us in the ordinary days of our life.
Today, the middle of Lent, can we make a conscious effort
To live our daily moments praising, and rejoicing in the Lord?
Rejoice and focus! Rejoice and focus! Rejoice and focus!
Spring Rain
April showers ushers in spring beauty,
Beauty in the soon flowering trees and early flowers,
Beauty in new life, the buds of various trees,
Opening up to praise it’s loving Creator.
Birds of all kinds return and begin nesting,
Chirping their melodious harmony,
Waking one in early morning,
And chirping their good-night to all.
