Implacable, Unmoveable

My thoughts are whirling about me
As I grasp for meaning,
My thoughts are caught,
As in a whirlwind.
I stand still at its center,
And wait believing.

This life is infused with the grandeur of God
And against this devils rage.
In hateful madness, Evil plots,
While wayward kings conspire.

The Holy One, seated on the Throne,
Reigning at His Father’s Right Hand,
Implacable, untouchable, rests.
While angels uphold the spheres,
His Word goes forth to do battle.

I fall asleep in His arms,
To wait and awake in peace to Glorious Day.
“Be still and know that I am God.”
