“Weapons Grade Stupidity” Under Attack

H/T  Hot Air for Doctor Zero’s stand up piece on Limbaugh criticism.

“Only the most gullible dupes, and people who rely on CNN for “news”, seriously think Rush Limbaugh is a racist. The dishonesty and cynicism behind dimwitted assertions that he wanted to buy an NFL team to role-play the life of a plantation owner is breathtaking. His accusers don’t really think he harbors some elusive racist demon, which he suppresses just long enough to become friends with Walter Williams, Clarence Thomas, Thomas Sowell, and Tony Dungy. The people who read this crap should be at least as angry over the insult to their intelligence as Limbaugh is about the insult to his honor. This kind of weapons-grade stupidity is one of the things America can no longer afford.

Limbaugh’s accusers want him burned at the stake for the crime of effective conservatism, not the racism they were so eager to lie about last week. The American public should think long and hard about which side of this ideological struggle should be on trial. Rush Limbaugh’s ideas did not produce a titanic deficit, double-digit unemployment, and global adversaries who can barely stop laughing at our President long enough to pretend they respect him. His ideas did not put disciples of Saul Alinsky, Chairman Mao, and Alex Jones in positions of power. His words are not deployed to conceal hundreds of billions in stolen “stimulus” money, thousand-page Mad Lib bills riddled with blank paragraphs, and massive offenses against individual liberty. His EIB Network endorses $1500 Sleep Number beds, not “saved or created” jobs costing half a million bucks apiece. Unlike the “Hope and Change” Administration, he doesn’t spend his three hours on the radio each weekday listing all the things you will no longer be allowed to do. He is the champion of ideas so powerful that his enemies fear the merest taste of them.

Rush Limbaugh has raised his voice in defense of freedom countless times over the years. I’m happy to exercise my freedom to raise my voice in defense of him. I invite you to do the same. It doesn’t matter if he doesn’t “need” it. He deserves it. All of us do. There is little we can do to reverse the injustice of the St. Louis Rams affair, but we can make it up to Rush by giving him the chance to deliver a hell of a show on the day after Election Day, next year. If CNN is foolish enough to continue employing cretins like Rick Sanchez by then, all of them should be turning in a very enjoyable performance on that day, as well.”

Limbaugh: Bo Snerdley – Black Enough to Criticize Obama

Bo Snerdley talks to the Hood about the NFL:

“Yo, my fellow homies. Rush ain’t you’re problem.  He never has been your problem……..”

“Man up.  Square up!”

“Is it Rush Limbaugh stopping your kids from being educated in your run down schools and your rundown  neighborhoods? No?! Who is it?  And where’s Al Shapton and Jesse Jackson on that, instead of flapping their mouth on all this other stuff that they don’t know anything else about?  [To NFL players] How come Al, Jesse and you all, are living large and the hood is still the hood?!”

Sykes “Limbaugh 20th hijacker” Obama Laughs

Wanda Sykes makes mean-spirited jokes (humor?) while Obama laughs at distasteful humor at the White House Correspondents Dinner on May 9th.  Sykes said she thought Rush Limbaugh was the 20th hijacker who missed the flight on 9/11 by being high on Oxycontin. From the head shaking in audience and sounds crying fowl, amid the laughter, many in audience, other than our president, recognized the defaming comments to be verbally assaulting calumny.  People around the world witness the double standard proliferated under the guise of humor and are not fooled or laughing, Mr. President, as witnessed by the Telegraph,co,uk’s Toby Harden’s blog article: “Not Funny: Barak Obama Laughs At Wanda Sykes Joke About Wanting Rush Limbaugh Dead.” Harden makes the point:

“Imagine if a comedian “joked” that Obama was a terrorist who was guilty of treason and should be tortured and allowed to die. There would justifiably be an outcry.

But when the “joke” comes from a liberal, Obama-supporting comedienne and the target is a right-winger then the likes of Hilary Rosen and Donna Brazile are on CNN saying it’s just comedy and Limbaugh is “fair game”.

And Obama laughing when someone wishes Limbaugh dead? Hard to take from the man who promised a new era of civility and elevated debate in Washington.”

Michelle Malkin calls the White House Correspondents Dinner “the most self-absorbed night in Washington since the inaugural.”  I concur and note that it is in keeping with the ongoing revelation of gotcha politics and public defamation we have seen coming from this White House.

Cheney – Limbaugh Over Powell

Dick Cheney appearing on Face the Nation left the impression that he thought Colin Powell had left the Republican Party and gave good reasons for thinking the fair weather Powell was gone, while casting his vote for Limbaugh over Powell.

AllahPundit notes

Cheney: The GOP’s better off with Rush Limbaugh than Colin Powell

A leftie tweeted AllahPundit on Twitter, “Cheney prefers a fat white drug addict to an African-American war hero!”Allah noted, “Of course, they themselves preferred a drug user to a war hero in last year’s election, for the quite logical reason that they thought his policies were better. Funny how that’s not so logical to them in Cheney’s case.”

Who Is the Mystery Man In the White House? & What Will It Cost Us to Find Out?

I’m still can’t get beyond Bernard Goldberg’s “A Torrid Love Affair- The True (and Pathetic) Story of the Torrid Romance Between Barack Obama and the Mainstream Media”; a must read for sheer horrendous incredibility.
Here’s some of the scary stuff that got us where we are today.  [My comments in brackets.]

Tom Brokaw appearing on the Charlie Rose Show a few days before the election:

Rose: I don’t know what Barak Obama’s world view is.

Brokaw: No.  I don’t either.

Rose: I don’t know how he really sees where China is.

Brokaw: We don’t know a lot about Barak Obama and the universe of his thinking about foreign policy.

Rose: I don’t really know.  And do we know anything anout the people who are advising him?

Brokaw: You know that’s an interesting question.

Rose: He is principally known through his autobiography and through very aspirational speeches, two of them. [Count them folks, two of them!]

Brokaw: I don’t know what book’s he’s read.

Rose: What do we know about the heroes of Barak OBAMA?

Brokaw: There’s a lot about him we don’t know.

[Really?  And you are the journalistic elite whose job it is to investigate, discover and report without bias?]

Goldberg includes this by Rush Limbaugh after playing the Charlie Rose show tapes:

“These guys are looking at Obama and they’ve seen him the exact way we have, all of this time.  They only now, after they think they got him into office, are starting to talk about their fears, about how nobody knows anything about him; his resume is thin, he’s only written two books, and they’re autobiographies; we don’t know what books he’s read…We don’t know anything about him.  It’s creepy, never seen a victory speech with nobody on stage…Look at all that they refused to report.  They had plenty of chances to write editorials  at Newsweek magazine, and they didn’t write one reflective of what they really saw and know and fear about Obama.”

Goldberg states:

All this raises an important question: Who the hell did we just elect president of the United States?

[What’s trully sad, is that we are now finding out.]

Make Up and Make Nice

Rush Limbaugh, defensive and feisty, protagonist par excellence, goes on the offensive defensive criticizing Michael Steele, NRC chairman, for remarks he made plus some. Before it’s over, you’ll need a score card as everyone who thinks they’re anyone joins the fray.

Hot Air has this.

I don’t think Steele realized how his comments would play and Rush is in no mood these day for playing games or patsy.

Steele was quick to sort of  apologize. I for one hope it sticks.  Conservatives have a common enemy to engage with all that testosterone they’re now wasting on each other.
