Awaiting Peace

I wait
For peace on Earth,
Yet, I must know it first
Within my soul.

Come to me,
Passing through locked doors,
For Christmas, Christ’s birth,
Anticipates Easter grace,
Your holy Incarnation,
Is key to remedy.

Make passage
Into my soul.
Open my heart,
Speak my name.


For gathered with your Church
In faith, hope and fasting,
With Wisemen, following and seeking,
I wait.

Advent Patience

I wait
For peace on Earth,
Yet, I must know peace first
Within my soul.

Come Holy Spirit
Passing through my locked doors.
Christ’s Incarnation,
Anticipates Easter grace, when You entered the Upped Room through barred door.

Where my sin offers resistance May my sorrow open my heart to repentance and deep conversion of heart and life.


For the Christmas gift of Incarnation,
Is key and remedy.
