American Anchor for Russian Station Quits on Air in Dramatic Fashion
News reporters in this country once had enormous clout. That was back when they were objective and could be trusted to at least provide both sides of the issues. From the muckrakers to the tabloid that first exposed the John Edwards cheating scandal, some journalists have not been afraid to go against the grain. Sadly, that is not the case in this country any longer.
Since 2008, when Barack Obama managed to gain a choke hold on the mainstream media, the American public has been lied to time and time again by once trusted major news sources. Throughout the years of this regime we’ve seen overt bullying tactics from the Obama and his minions against news organizations that seek to report the truth. The Administration wants to control the stories and the angles that are reported to the People. And when they cannot, they ridicule whole news organizations, they try to shame or embarrass individual reporters, or they ignore or banish individual reporters and news agencies in their entirety.
This morning I saw the report on an American newscaster who worked in the Washington, D.C., office of a Russian news agency. I have never heard of Liz Wahl or the station, Russia Today, but I have to give kudos to Miss Wahl. Here is the broadcast that probably has the Russian station and Vladimir Putin grinding their teeth.
This journalist stood up for her beliefs and put her own self-respect ahead of her career and well-being. Whether or not one agrees with her opinions about the actions of Putin in the Ukraine, it takes guts to disavow an employer with whom you have fundamental disagreements. Moreover, Wahl did not just bow out quietly and begin job hunting on the down low. Instead, she publicly expressed her disdain for the egregious breach of trust that the Russian-state-owned news agency has perpetrated on people all over the world. Was it unprofessional? Perhaps. But those few seconds of telling the truth in the heat of the moment spoke louder than anything she cold have ever written or spoken after the fact.
Bravo, Ms. Wahl. Maybe MSNBC or CNN could use your services. But wait, they also whitewash the truth and tow the Obama line. What does the Fox say?

Dear Friend,
The Obama Administration’s contraceptive/abortifacient/sterilization mandate will begin to be enforced against nonprofit religious schools, charities and health care providers on January 1, 2014. In the weeks to come, Congress must decide whether to address this problem before that deadline.
Members of Congress should continue to be urged to co-sponsor the Health Care Conscience Rights Act (H.R. 940, S. 1204), and to work for its approval in the next "must-pass" bill needed to keep the federal government operating. Government must not force Americans to violate their religious and moral beliefs on respect for life when they provide health care or purchase health coverage.
Congress is now in its summer recess (August 5-September 9). The recess presents special opportunities to contact your Members and urge their support for H.R. 940/S. 1204. Members will be in their home districts and states. They will be learning what is important to their constituents, and this will influence their actions when they return in the fall. Please consider taking one or more of the following actions:
- Meet with Members in their local offices.
- Ask questions at town hall meetings.
- Step forward to talk with Members at county fairs and other public events listed on Members’ schedules.
- Write letters-to-the-editors for local papers and newsletters in response to stories or editorials related to conscience rights.
- Participate in radio and TV call-in shows. Members and their staffs read the local papers and track local media.
Always be polite and respectful. Full contact and scheduling info can be found on Members’ web sites at: www.house.gov and www.senate.gov.
Of course, if you have not yet sent e-mail messages to your Representative and two Senators urging support of H.R. 940/S. 1204, you can do so by clicking on the link below. A note: You also will be able to send a separate message to House Speaker John Boehner (R-OH) using his special Speaker’s web form.
Some background. Under the new health care law, the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) requires most health plans to cover “preventive services for women,” including drugs and procedures that many citizens find objectionable for moral and religious reasons. These objectionable items include sterilization, FDA-approved birth control (such as the IUD, Depo-Provera, ‘morning-after’ pills, and the abortion-inducing drug Ella), and “education and counseling” to promote these to all “women of reproductive capacity,” including minor girls. Under the final rule released by HHS on June 28, the mandate allows only a very narrow exemption for a “religious employer,” chiefly aimed at what HHS calls “houses of worship.” Other religious organizations offering education, health care and charitable services do not qualify for the exemption. The mandate will be enforced against them beginning January 1, 2014, under an “accommodation” that only changes the way the objectionable items must be provided to all employees and their dependents. There is no exemption or delay for individuals, or for businesses owned and operated by families with moral or religious objections.
Thanks for all you do in support of life!

Why would it be gruesome? I recall my wife and I listening carefully in the doctor’s office for the heart beat of our unborn children. My grown daughters now proudly place ultrasound images of their unborn children on Facebook for all of their friends to see. These actions are viewed as beautiful and joyous, not as “cruel.” Click to read the full article

At some point I started to feel like I was more determined to be pro-choice than I was to honestly analyze who was and was not human. And I saw it in others in the pro-choice community as well. On more than one occasion I was stunned to the point of feeling physically ill upon reading of what otherwise nice, reasonable people in the pro-abortion camp would support.
In reading through the Supreme Court case of Stenberg v. Carhart, I read that Dr. Leroy Carhart, an abortion advocate who actually performs the procedures, described some second-trimester abortions by saying, “[W]hen you pull out a piece of the fetus, let’s say, an arm or a leg and remove that, at the time just prior to removal of the portion of the fetus…the fetus [is] alive.” He said that he has observed fetal heartbeat via ultrasound with “extensive parts of the fetus removed.”
The American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists, which presumably consists of well-educated, reasonable, intelligent men and women, spoke out against this procedure. When I discovered their reasoning, I felt dizzy. They didn’t oppose it because it’s clearly infanticide in its most grisly form; they opposed it because of the inconvenience of dismembered body parts. In their amici brief to Stenberg, the ACOG explained in detail why they believe it’s better to kill these babies outside the womb, in a procedure they refer to as “D&X”:Read more: http://www.ncregister.com/blog/jennifer-fulwiler/the-enemy-of-sex#ixzz2Iq92WT39
