Come Forth

Call to me, loudly command,
When you call me forth
From the grave of my sin,
I rejoice.

When, on the Last Day,
You call me forth from the tomb,
From my burial rest,
I shall jubilantly rejoice.

With the saints,
And angels to cheer me,
Invite and speak my name,
Command, “Come forth!”
Death shall cower and fall away,
And the perfume of sanctity
Attend me.

My cloud of witnesses
Testify to Your many mercies
Showered and shown me.

Then shall my heart sing
And the feet of my testimony dance
To the music of Your Kingdom
And the song of Mary,
Who sang lullabies in my rest
Upon Your breast.

Cardinal Pell Talks about Corruption in the Vatican Bank

Wake the Heavens

Wake the Heavens

Peoples of the Earth,
This hour beseeches you.
Rise from your slumber,
Shake off the demons of sloth.
Open your eyes,
Lift the veil that hides your sin.

Peoples of the Earth,
The dead beseech you.
The living call out.
The blind place their hands upon your arm.
Truth is at the door.
Open and receive.

Peoples of the Earth,
Hope for the good,
The holy, and the hallowed.
Take off your rags,
Don a wedding garment.
That you may feast and dance.

Peoples of the Earth,
Seek the Kingdom of the Great King.
He rains down blessing from above,
He calls saints,
And angels to your side,
For Victory in His Name.

Peoples of the Earth.
A New Day beckons you.
Gather the lame, and the hungry,
Those that hope for Victory beseech you.
Jesus awaits your plaintive cries
To wake the heavens.

About Today

Thursday within the Octave of Easter

Solemnity

“As they were saying this, Jesus himself stood among them, and said to them, ‘Peace to you.’ But they were startled and frightened, and supposed that they saw a spirit. And he said to them, ‘Why are you troubled, and why do questionings rise in your hearts? See my hands and feet, that it is I myself; handle me, and see; for a spirit has not flesh and bones as you see that I have’” (Lk 24-36-39). [1][2]

Blessing of God

“God is blessing us” ..as I wrote those words in a post, a memory came to mind. On pilgrimage in Shanghai in 1994, we witnessed the sun,  appearing so very brilliant,  seem to move around in the sky.  A Chinese man, who looked to be in his eighties or even nineties,  observed it, too, and asked, excitedly, “What does it mean? A fellow pilgrim, answered, “God is blessing us right now”. The old man, happily, repeated over and over, like a little child, “God is blessing us, God is blessing us. God is blessing us.”  It’s been many years since that remarkable event and I’m thankful, and eternally grateful, as I acknowledge, He still is!
